I have been using Windows 7, and Wordpad is not included anywhere. I checked under accessories where the instructions said it would be located, but it's not! I'm trying to find a place at Microsoft where I can download the program but I haven't been able to find that either! please help!

The program, WordPad.exe, is located in

for Windows 7 x64

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows NT\Accessories\

or for Windows 7 x86

C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\

You can create a shortcut to it.

    You're welcome.

If you want it to appear in Accessories again in the Start Menu, put the shortcut in

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

    ProgramData is a hidden folder.

An easy way to get to the Accessories folder above is to type

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

into the start search box and press enter

Thank you. It did work and I also created a shotcut to it. And to think that when I got this laptop a few years ago I figured they must have discontinued Wordpad. I should have asked this question LONG ago! Thanks again.....Gina
