Insert a new storage device error when copying

4.65. GB is needed to copy these files. New volume is  full. Please insert a new storage device to continue copying these files.

The drive is a brand new 32 GB sandisk micro SD in the sd slot of a brand new Acer Iconia W3 runing 8.1 Pro

I used windows disk manager to format the volume on the SD disk as NTFS and assigned it as drive letter D:

I can create a text file or new folder on drive D:

I can copy a file or folder from C:/users/bob/documents to D:

I get the error when I copy files or folders from C:/users/bob/skydrive/CamerRoll

I  basicly just want to put the pictures from the skydrive folder onto the SD card.

Why do I get this error? The SD is working and is certainly not full. I only get it when I copy files or folders from the local skydrive folder.

    Hi Bob,

It would be great if you can answer these questions for a better understanding of this issue.

    1)       Are you able to copy large amount of files to the same SD Card from any other locations (like the Library Folders) on the computer?

    2)       Did you try using another SD card and check the issue?

    3)       Did you enable the option “Access all files offline” in the SkyDrive app PC Settings?

If you have enabled the option “Access all files offline” in the SkyDrive app PC Settings, then the issue could be due to this. You may turn OFF this option on the computer.

If the issue happens only with the SkyDrive and you are able to copy large amount of files from all the other location on the computer, then this could be an issue with the SkyDrive. Please get back to us with the additional information for further assistance on this issue.
