    Hello Ronald,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community Forum.

    1. Did you make any specific change in the computer?
    2. What is the make of the Bluetooth device?
    3. What all fixes have you tried?

First let's make sure that the service related to the Bluetooth is enabled on the computer.

Method 1: How to make sure that the Bluetooth service is started

Open the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in for Services. To do this, follow these steps.

    • Click Start and type the following command in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER: services.msc

    • In the Programs list, click Services.

    • You are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.

    • Double-click the Bluetooth Support service.

    • If the Bluetooth Support service is stopped, click Start.

    • On the Startup type list, click Automatic.

    • Click the Log On tab.

    • Click Local System account.

    • Click OK.

If you prompted to restart the computer, click yes.

Method 2: Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth enabled devices

    (holds good for Windows 7)

May I know make and model of your Bluetooth headset?

In the meantime, try to update the Bluetooth drivers on your computer to the latest version.  You can download the latest drivers from the computer's manufacturer site (recommended; if the bluetooth built in to the computer), try the link below for Broadcom Bluetooth drivers:

    http://www.broadcom.com/support/license.php?file=SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe

If you have any difficulty in getting the drivers on the manufacturer website, provide the manufacturer name and model of the computer.  Also mention the operating system and architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).

    Hello Ronald,

Thank you for the update on the issue.

As per the screen shot you have added in your very first question and as per the error received as in screenshot, have you tried checking the following:

    1.  Any pairing code for the device.

Please check and refer to your device’s documentation for details.

    2.  Any special software or security certificate required.

Please check and refer to your device’s documentation for details.

    1.  Any firmware or software update required for the device.

Kindly check details of all 3 in device’s documentation.

Also try using the same device to any other Windows 7 computer and check if you are able to connect without the error.

I have made no changes to my computer at all. The headset is a HM1900 Samsung. I tired running the Troubleshooter before it doesn't work for me. It seems to think I should have a bluetooth adapter plugged in but, mine is build into my labtop. I've tired going into the services like you stated in method 1 I changed it to Local System account. All that did was make it so my labtop could not find my headset so that actually took me a set backward. When I changed it back to Local Service it found my headset right away. Other than that I tired everything in the picture.
