How do I hide/remove Libraries from Explorer panel?

I'm tired of the Libraries shortcut and it's drop-down sections in Windows 7 Explorer cluttering the left sid, I never use them, they're cumbersome and I save shortcuts to the Favorites section anyways. Can I get rid of the Libraries section or hide it or something?

This is for Windows 8 and does not remove the Libraries folder in Explorer on the left panel. I can only click to "Show all folders" and that merely collapses it under Desktop but pinning Explorer to the taskbar and opening it still defaults to the Libraries folder and I want it completely gone from Explorer.

    Hi

Sorry about the incorrect links. See the following links.

After you complete these steps, you will still need to change the properties in the Taskbar icon for Windows Explorer.
