Having a problem with Amazing Slider. Worked fine initially on Win 8. Now won't run, with the 'Create Process Failed code 740 The requested operation requires elevation;' message. Won't Run as Administrator, Compatibility test says program incompatible, even though software authors insist it is and ir ran fine under Win 8 initially. Restoring to before Amazing Slider was installed hasn't helped either. Any ideas?

    Hi Jon,

Thank you for writing to us.

We receive Process Failed code 740 error when we do not have admin privileges to run that particular program. To do that right click on the application icon and click on “Run as administrator”

If after running the application in the admin mode issue still persists I would recommend you to uninstall and reinstall the application in the Windows 7 compatibility mode and check with the issue.

Make older programs compatible with this version ofWindows

Revert back with an update and we will be glad to help you further.

Thank you Wasim. I've followed the procedures you suggested and am getting the same result. When I try to open the program, I get the spinning blue 'in progress' circle and then nothing happens. The compatibility wizard suggest the software is not compatible, although it worked fine before. The problem started after a Windows 'Refresh'.

    Hi Jon,

    Thank you for the update.

There is not much we can do if the application is not compatible. Please try if you can get in contact with Amazing Slider and inquire if they have received requests from other customers pertaining to the same issue. You may request them to release an update for their product so that it makes it compatible with our new OS.

    Thank you.
