I new installed windows vista, and cannot install windows updates..they install, then it says their was problems..and they they then uninstall twice!

this is the error message:

WindowsUpdate_800719E4 i am not sure what internet explorer i have..i am using google chrome.

The first thing I would do is make sure you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, at ləast for this download.

0x800719E4 ERROR_LOG_FULL

Log space is exhausted.

The transaction logs for Windows Update may be in an inconsistent state.

You can clear them by clicking the Start orb.

In the Start Search field type in cmd

Right-click cmd.exe and choose 'Run as administrator'. Agree to the UAC prompt.

At the prompt, type in the below exactly as written, including the spaces, pushing Enter after each command

cd /d %SystemRoot%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine

attrib -s -h *

del *.blf

del *.regtrans-ms

exit

Restart the computer now and see if it can update.
