    Hi Patrick,

Please answer this question to get more clarity on t his issue.

    • Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

This issue might occur as some system files are either broken or corrupt. This could also occur if some files are not registered properly.

Script errors most commonly occur when a program is out of date and therefore cannot read newer code implementations. This is often the case with older Web browsers that were not programmed to read newer Internet code implementations, and out-of-date software applications that need to be updated or replaced to work with newer technologies.

Let us follow these methods and check if this helps.

    Method 1.

Let us boot the computer in Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. Safe Mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services.

If you're not signed in to Windows, tap or click the power icon from the sign-in screen, hold the Shift key, and then tap or click Restart.

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode

If the issue does not persists in Safe Mode, then perform a clean boot state and check if the issue persists.

When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are several programs that start automatically and run in the background that may interfere with the game. These programs may include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean startup procedure, you prevent these programs from starting automatically.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7, Windows 8:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow steps under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” in the article to boot to normal startup.

    Method 2.

Ensure to keep the computer up to date with all the updates. If you use automatic updating, you won't need to check for important and recommended updates at all. Windows Update will check for these updates and install them when they're ready.

If you don't use automatic updating, you should check for updates yourself at least once every week. Microsoft usually releases important updates once a month. However, updates could be released at any time.

Hi sir! Thankyou for the detailed instructions.

I accidentally found out that the script error dialog box is from an unknown program I think I accidentally downloaded or was downloaded secretly when I downloaded some movies or other stuff. When I uninstalled that program, the dialog box stopped from popping.

Anyway, thank you very much for the reply. I really appreciate your effort. I believe that your instruction will be helpful for me some other time in the future.

    God Bless!
