Windstream Email Error Message

My Windstream email comes to my Windows Live email account. When I hit "Send/Receive: I get this message below. I am able to receive emails but first I get this error message, then usually the emails will come through eventually. Anybody know what is wrong? I am running Windows 7.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Windstream (kahutchinson) account. The host 'POP3.windstream.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Server: 'POP3.windstream.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D

Protocol: POP3

Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

Socket Error: 11004

    Thanks Bruce. Removing the "3" fixed it.  The email is coming through fine now.

    Has this account ever worked since you set it up in this new WLMail account? Note what I highlighted in bold in your question. I don't believe the "3" should be included in the account setting.

    • Windstream POP3 incoming mail server: pop.windstream.net
    • Windstream SMTP outgoing mail server: smtp.windstream.net
