windows server 2003 updates failure

Hello!

I have a windows 2003 sp2 server with only TFS 2010 installed. I recently installed TFS 2010 SP1 (KB2182621). install was success. But after that, I found the server had 3 auto updates keep trying to install and keep failed. The ongoing install and failure cost server resource and drag performance. I need help to stop and get rid of these updates.

  • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (KB2813041).
  • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2836941).
  • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2844285).

I searched and ran "Fix it" from Windows update result link. But apparently, it did not help.

I also tried uninstalled the .net framework 2.0 sp2 update which already shown in control panel, but got fatal error and unable to uninstall.

So now I am kind of out of all ideas and urgently need help.

    Hi,

    Current Server 2003 and other Windows Server versions are supported via TechNet

    so  best to check with the Experts there.

    TechNet - Windows Server (Server 2003 / 2008 R2 Forums are locked so you will

    need to use the other forums for current support)
