how do I fix the error message: there is no disk in the drive please insert a disk into drive \device\harddisk5\dr

    only on shut down.  there is no harddisk5.  only have 4 drives, plus c and d

    When do you see this message?

    Identify what disk drive is being referenced by looking at the disk numbers in Disk Management.

    (Run diskmgmt.msc or right click Computer, Select Mange then Disk Management.)

    It may be an optical drive or a card slot.  This may help you identify what program is trying to access the drive.
