I have my Surface pro 2 connected to my mobile hotspot and it looks like it is using more data than it should.

What is the best app or software for windows 8 where I can monitor the history of data usage.

I want something alot like the app My Data Manager on Android.

,Ricky

Hi Rickyaz,

You can download the Network Usage app from the Windows Store.

You may refer to the article on how to Find and install the Network Usage app from the Windows Store.

Install and uninstall apps on Surface Pro

http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/apps-and-windows-store/install-and-uninstall-apps-on-surface-pro#installWinStore

Once installed, Network Usage will breakdown your monthly and daily MBs sent and received on an Internet connection. Network Usage will keep records for all network connections you have utilized until you reset it. This includes networks you merely connected to once or your home network you stay connected to most of the time.

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help.

Thanks for your help.  I also found one called Data Usage Counter which is working pretty well.  Still have yet to compare it to the amounts that are listed on Verizon's website.
