Experiencing erratic pointer function while using Wireless mouse 3500.

Original title: wireless mouse 3500

I'm experiencing erratic pointer function. If I keep the mouse less than 12" away from the USB receiver(transceiver?) It works better, but if I move it 3' or more it skips and acts strange. I'm using 2 monitors. windows 7. No cell phones or cordless phones within 3'. Other wireless mice work better with same circumstances. I've deleted all old mice programs and downloaded current drivers. I like the feel of the 3500, but obviously wont use it if it wont work right. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the updates.

Since the issue persists, you may try to uninstall and reinstall the mouse drivers and check:

    a. Click Start and type in Device Manager in the Start Search and Press Enter.

    b. Expand the device in the Device Manager

c.Right click on the device and click on Properties.

    d. Click on driver tab and click on Uninstall Drivers and click OK.

    e. Restart the computer and check.

You may also refer to the Microsoft website and try installing the latest version of mouse drivers and software and check.

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help.

Hello, The model is Microsoft mobile 3500. It works fine with my laptop. But only works on my desktop if it is physically 6" away from the cpu. I have tried all windows updates etc. On my laptop it works and shows version 2.2.173.0 in the program list. Even though I tried removing the usb receiver in and out of the DESKTOP computer it says drivers were installed, but nothing shows up in the control panel under programs like the laptop. Any more ideas?
