Hello Victor,
Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum. I appreciate you for providing the detailed information on your issue.
- Did you make any significant hardware or software changes to the computer prior to this issue?
- What is the make and model of your computer?
I understand that you are able to browse the internet but the taskbar status shows you are not connected to the internet. The issue may arise due to various reasons including if the wireless adapter settings are not configured correctly. So, I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if the issue persists.
Method 1:
Try to run the network troubleshooter in your Windows 7. To do so, follow the steps provided in the underlying link:
Using the Network troubleshooter in Windows 7
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-windows-7
If the issue still persists, proceed to Method 2.
Method 2:
- Go to Start, click All Programs and open Accessories.
- Right click on Command Prompt in the Program list and then select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK, or else click Yes.
- In the Command Prompt, type the following commands, and then press ENTER after each command:
net localgroup administrators localservice /add
net localgroup administrators networkservice /add 4. Close the command prompt and restart the computer.
Check if the networks are now available.
Hope this information is helpful. If the issue still persists, please post back for further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.
