Blue Screen error; BCCode:1a

A few weeks ago, my computer (2009 HP, Vista operating system) started freezing. When I rebooted it, it was fine. Then, it started getting blue screen errors. Again, it rebooted fine. I ran Check Disk, Memory Diagnostic, they showed no problems. I checked for driver updates and it said that they were updated. Then, it had trouble restarting, ran Startup Repair, ended up doing a System Restore to an earlier version. That worked for a while, then on Sunday it was unable to start up or repair startup. System Restore did no good. I had the hard drive replaced and a new operating system (Windows 7) installed. It worked fine until today, when it started crashing again. Now I'm getting a similar error (BCCode, BCP1, and BCP2 are the same as the previous errors; the rest are different).

I received the following error:

    Hi,

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a)

    This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

    BugCheck 1A, {5003, fffff70001080000, a20, a5000001450}

    • The 1st parameter of the bug check is 5003 which indicates the working set free list is corrupt.

    1. Remove and replace avast! with Microsoft Security Essentials for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it's likely causing conflicts:

    avast! removal - http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

    MSE -  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download

    2. wdcsam64.sys is listed and loaded which is the Western Digital SES (SCSI Enclosure Services) driver. Please remove this software ASAP as it's very troublesome and is also not necessary to the functionality of your system.

    Regards,

    Patrick
