    Hi Shauna,

What is the exact and complete error message you get?

Go into BIOS  and change the Drive Boot Order so that the Hard Drive comes first as a boot priority. You should be able to boot into Windows normally after you save it to that configuration.

Note: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

For help with the BIOS settings, refer to the computer manual or contact the manufacturer.

I bad thid issue on my pc as well. I simply rekoved exterior panel after turning off system. Removed the sata cable very gebtly and cleaned both ports then swapped to sata port 2 on my motherboard then put back together and rebooted. Pc worked fine just had to reconfigure for new drive in new port and restart one more time and bam back to normal. Just gotta be more careful in future about computer getting suddenly unplugged.  my roomate unplugged mine on accident getting another cable unplugged and caused this issue. I fixed in 30 min or so and hopefully it doesnt persist like some feeds said it did after a few power cycles. Best of luck also Im running windows 7 on this pc

I can't find the DVD that I need. Is there a way I can download one and burn it on to a CD? Or just contact the manufacturer.

    Hi Shauna,

I would suggest you to try the steps from the following link and see if that helps.

Use Bootrec.exe in the Windows RE to troubleshoot startup issues

Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future.

I have changed the BIOS settings to what you said and now when I try to boot the computer up get a list of different boot devices cd-dvd rom, generic compact, SM/xD-Picture, SD/MMC, MS/MS-Pro/Hg, SD/MMC/MS/MSPro. But before I was just getting a screen saying" reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" Im still getting the 3rd master hard disk error.
