Hi!

One of our servers has stopped today the second time with a bluescreen

0x0000001e KMODE_exception_not_handled ntoskrnl.exe+b311d
Parameter1: ffffffffc0000005 Parameter2: fffff8010387ebce Parameter3: 0000000000000000

The Server is a ESXi-VM. Other VMs working without any problem on the same server. Virtual Hardware hasn't changed in any way. Last change on the server was the installation of January Updates:

KB4535680
KB4598246
KB890830

Anyone else who has problems after installing those updates?

Thanks!

    Hi,
It seems that January Security Updates for Windows Server 2016 is KB4598243 not KB4598246. Anyway, I don't see any relevant Know Issue on this updated introduction website.
KB890830 is related to Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and KB4535680 is related to Secure Boot DBX.
So I feel that KB4535680 is probably more relevant. Could you boot to Safe Mode to uninstall them for test?
According to the error message, C0000005 is a error code that means a bad memory address was passed to a driver.
Attempt to fix this you would update the BIOS and all of the motherboard drivers from the motherboard vendor (also update such video card driver). Also I suggest that disable security software temporarily.
Because you see this is an NToskrnl.exe error, we could not see which driver could be related. I consider that you could try to use Driver Verifier tool to capture.
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
    Best Regards,
    Carl
