Goal: Windows 10 Onedrive Cloud only but integration with File Explorer.
Issue: Copy files from local machine to Onedrive. Mark as 'free up space'.
Shutdown machine. Restore machine before I placed files on Onedrive.
Files GONE even though I marked them as 'free up space'. How do I
keep the files on Onedrive even if the client that placed them there
is restored prior to that date?
I want the File Explorer integration. I know using a web browser would fix this.
Partial solution: You can map Onedrive with limitations. It appears the mapping
is using some type of WebDAV so there is a file size limitation which can be adjusted
through the registry. But there is also the silly way it works as there are serious
delays with large files that make File Explorer klunky.
Does anyone know of solution using Onedrive whereby even when the client that
places files on it does NOT delete them if said client is restored prior to that date?
