* Original Title: Access denied?

Hello,

  I am having and always had an issue trying to upload photos to social sites & email ever since I have owned my computer, I have tried viewing and changing settings in the security settings, unsuccessful.  When I attempt to upload photos or attach them to an email I get the search box to open where it shows the drives, I click on C Drive, E Drive, and an error box appears telling me I do not have access to that folder with a red circle containing an X. Is there anyone out there that can assist with this issue, it is becoming an aggravation issue very quickly. as I like to share photos by email and sharing them on facebook. Not sure what to do,

Thank you

Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

    1. Are you able to access the drives from the Windows Explorer?
    2. Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

    This issue could be due to improper permissions to the drives and folders.

    Let’s try these steps and check if it helps in fixing the issue.

    1. Open Windows Explorer, and then right-click the drive (C & E), click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
    2. Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.
    3. Click Edit, and then do one of the following:

    a. To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click Other users and groups and, in Enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.

    b. To change the owner to a user or group that is listed, in the Change owner to box, click the new owner.

    c. (Optional) To change the owner of all subcontainers and objects within the tree, select the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check box.
