Why doesn't windows calculate negative numbers.

Hello

Simple question. Why doesn't the built-in windows calculator work with negative numbers such as (5 x -5 = 0)? What happens is this instead for example, you input five then press the times key. You now want to input negative five but when you press the minus key it changes the operation from times to minus. So instead of 5 * -5 = -25 its 5 - 5. Also copy and paste does not work.

It is a simple calculator.  For more advanced functions and logic you need the scientific calculator.  You just need to switch modes.
