Cannot install updates on 8.1 error code 800F0244

Question

I cannot install updates and get this error code 800F0244 and when I search it I get no hits or info on it. Anyone else?

3. Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

Method 1:

You may try to disconnect all the external devices except Monitor, keyboard and mouse and check if it helps.

Method 2:

I would also suggest you torun the Windows update Troubleshooter and check if it helps: 

1. Press “Windows + X” and select Control panel.
2. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.
3. Under System and Security, click Fix problems with Windows Update.

If the error relates to a driver update, get the update directly from the manufacturer.

The problem stays even after getteing the upgrade directly from Intel.
