Surface will not load apps

My surface pro2 has worked fine until this week when the apps won't load in one of the accounts. The other account opens fine so I presume it is a setting in the account. I have restored the surface  but it still occurs. Any ideas?

From the issue description, I understand that on a particular account in your Surface Pro 2 the apps won’t load.

I can understand the inconvenience caused, be assured that we are here to help you with your concern.

  1. Do you get any error message when you try to open the apps?
  2. Are you facing this issue with all the apps or is it with any particular app?

You may be facing this issue cause of User account corruptions, or perhaps the apps are corrupted on that particular account.

I suggest you to follow the below methods to see if it helps,

Method 1:

Install Surface and Windows updates: -Your Surface may be missing any of the latest updates, hence follow the below link to install the latest updates to your surface,

**Note:**If the issue still persist, proceed with Method 2.

Method 2:

App troubleshooter: -This issue can be caused if there are any pending updates or due to a corrupted app. Let’s first run the Apps Troubleshooter and check if that helps. The Apps Troubleshooter is an automated tool which we have developed to address a number of known issues that can prevent the Apps from running properly. This troubleshooter automatically fixes issues, including suboptimal screen resolution, incorrect security or account settings etc. If issue persists, refer to the remaining steps from the help article and check.

**Note:**If the issue still persist, proceed with Method 3.

Method 3:

Clear Windows Store Cache: -If you are having issues with installing or updating Store apps in windows 8.1, it may be caused by an issue with the Store cache. Please follow the below steps to clear the cache for the Store and check if it helps:

  1. Press the “Windows Logo” + “R” Keys to get the Run Option.
  2. Type “wsreset.exe” and press “Enter”.
  3. Reboot the computer and try loading the Apps.
