windows live mail cannot open runtime error help.

Hey everyone i seem to be getting a box pop up when i try open my windows live mail it says microsoft visual c++ runtime libary

Runtime error!

Program c:\program files (x86)\windows live\mail\wlmail.exe

R6030

-Crt not initialized

Any help would be much appreciated cheers.

I understand that you are unable to launch Windows Live Mail and getting run time error. I will be happy to help you on this.

This issue might occur if the Microsoft Visual C++ or Windows Live Mail is corrupted.

In order to help you better, please let me know:

  1. Which version of Windows Live mail are you using? (2011 or 2012)
  2. Which version of Windows Operating system are you using?

I suggest you to follow these methods and check if it helps:

Method 1: Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86).

Try launching Windows Live Mail, if the issue still persist move to method 2.

Method 2: Perform a Clean Boot.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows.

Try launching Windows Live Mail after performing a Clean Boot, if the issue still persist move to method 3.

Method 3: Repair the Windows Live Essentials.

Steps to repair Windows Live Essentials:

  1. Press Windows + R Keys, opens Run command.
  2. Type Control Panel and then click on Ok.
  3. Under Programs, Click on Uninstall a program.
  4. Please look for Windows Live Essentials.
  5. Right click on Windows Live Essentials and click on uninstall/change.
  6. Now select option repair all Windows Live Essentials.
