Windows 7 will not start

When I turn on the computer I get a black screen with the message:

Press F2 to run SETUP

Press ESC for BBS POPUP

Press F9 for system Recovery.

Doing any of that accomplishes nothing.  I do not have a repair/recovery disc.

Computer is an ASUS All in One with Windows 7.  My laptop is Windows 8 so can't make a recovery disc on it.

What should I do?

I was merely explaining what they should do, in conjunction with my last sentence.

It would appear that you have a Hardware problem.

And if pressing F2 does not put you into BIOS, otherwise called Setup, that problem is with the Motherboard and/or the Keyboard not working.

One thing, make sure that you have no USB devices plugged in when trying to Boot.

If not under Warranty and problem continues, I suggest that you take it to a local and reputable computer repair Shop.

Cheers.

    Thanks, Bill -

I changed the batteries in the keyboard and it made no difference and it's out of warranty so I guess it's off to the repair shop.  I appreciate your help.

Thanks Bill.  Hwever, I guess I wasn't clear...pressing F2 or F9 does nothing....the screen remains exactly the same.

    Hi,

F2 will get you into BIOS.

F9 will reinstall the Operating System back to new condition (if the Hardware is not broken) as that is the way to access the Asus Recovery partition.

But everything you are seeing on screen is before it tries to Boot in Windows.

    Cheers.
