Hi,

How are you?

Recently my system hung and had to do a force restart. I get a screen while booting my computer with few options. I have to click ESC multiple times to get rid of the screen. It wasn't an option before. When I start my computer it used to boot normally. How to get rid of the screen? Please advice.

Attached is the picture I took from my mobile.

Windows 7

AMD athlon

Self built system

Thank you

Gershom

Hi All,

Thank you for the support.

I fixed the issue by unplugging the hard disc cable inside the CPU and connected them again. Everything is fine now.

If the system is not booting or getting hung at the booting stage, you can try the same.

All the best.

Thank you again John and Gerry.

Surya Kumar

The System Model entered appears to be incorrect. What is the motherboard model?

    Hi Surya,

    Sorry for delay in response.

    1. Did you try restoring BIOS to default?
    2. Did the system start hanging immediately after clean installing Windows?
    3. Did you run check disc before installing Windows 7?

If Windows detects possible problems with your computer’s memory, it will prompt you to run the Memory Diagnostics Tool.

    Hi John,

    Thank you for the reply.

No, USB connected to the computer. (Except Keyboard and mouse)

As I already mentioned that its a self built system. I bought the system parts and assembled the computer my self. Hence, no manufacturer involved.

I am good at troubleshooting as I have worked in technical support for  years. I am stuck here at the moment. Looks like memory or motherboard issue. Not sure.

My system hangs very often and continuous force restarting of the system ended up like this. I did format and reinstall my operating system. no improvement. Please advice.

    Thank you in Advance
