Hi everyone,

Yesterday me and my friend shared some conversation about our studies. I want to save the study details in my system. I wanted to create a new folder namely called conversation and simply i tried to save "con". But, Popup message is displayed "The specific device is invalid".

I don't know where the problem persist in my system. Could anyone of you explain the problem?

OS: Windows 7 64 bit

Dell Inspiron 1545

Con is a reserved name [it is the name of an internal device] so you cannot use it as the name of a file or folder.

See Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces

CON is a file extension for some Configuration files.  I have the same system as you on a Dell and it gives me the same popup. By adding another letter to CON ( example CONV) it will let me create the folder.  This is probably not the answer you were looking for but maybe it can help you in the right direction for a work around. Best of luck.
