I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

The issue has been repeatedly reported MS but still no fix.  They are more interested in just getting people to upgrade than they are in fixing the reasons some people are not upgrading.  I have tried six times to upgrade my two main PC's and each time this issue comes up.  I have even done a fresh install on a new hard drive with a retail version of Windows 10 and have had this issue.  Windows 10 is just not liking MSI or ASUS mother boards for some reason.

Supposedly during an install we can get into command mode with Shift-F10.  Is the keyboard still working then?  I don't know about being able to get into Device Manager then but you may be able to check what drivers you have or perhaps do some registry tweaking.

Also, I haven't seen anyone mention Boot options such as Ignore driver signing.   Has anyone checked the logs to find out what is going on exactly?

    Good luck

If so where would I find them ..

    Hi Jaredlange,

Trying using PS-2 mouse and keyboard because the drivers for the PS-2 set will be available in all the OS from the beginning of the windows family.
