I am getting an error stating : the function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another application. error code: 0x80071a90.

I am trying to turn  on iis using the turn windows features on and off functionality.But am getting an error stating : the function attempted to use a name that is  reserved for use by another application.

error code: 0x80071a90.

Please suggest how to fix this issue.

    I'm running Windows 10 build 10240. Turns out the solution for me was turning off my Anti-Virus. Got the idea from this post. Hope it helps.

    Turning off anti-virus worked for me as well.  I use Avast and just clicked to disable it for 10 minutes.

    Try this:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt
    2. In the prompt, type the following command and press Enter. It may take a few minutes for the command to process:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    1. Restart your PC when the command finishes running, then try to install IIS again.
