Visual C++ runtime error - Office365, Sharepoint sync

Multiple times daily, on different computers, I get an error that shuts down Windows Explorer. The error message is Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime LIbrary, and states "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an usual way..."

All systems are running fully updated Windows 7. Of the three systems, one is a Dell less than year old, another is an HP laptop that is about 3 years old, and the third is an older dell desktop.

I never got this message before using Office365 and installing the Sharepoint teamsite "sync" process whereby the cloud documents from Sharepoint are synced on local hard drive.

There was a thread on the Office 365 forum and they said to post over here.

thanks in advance.

John

Hi John,

Apologize for not replying in a timely manner and sorry to know that you are facing issues using Office365.

Could you please verify if you have the latest version of Visual C++ installed?

I would suggest you to reinstall all version of Visual C++ and check if it helps.

a.      Press Start, and type uninstall a program and press Enter.

b.      From the list, find Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages and click on it.

c       Right click on it and select ' Uninstall'

d.      Restart the computer.

Now, download and install the versions of Microsoft Visual Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

If that does not help, I would also have you check with the network admin who manages theses machines.  Domain questions will be better answered on the Windows 7 Category - ITPro

Hope this helps. If you have further queries, we will be happy to help.
