Bluetooth Driver Errors

Greetings,

I have a Asus X202E Vivobook

I have an issue connecting any Bluetooth Device. Whenever I turn on bluetooth it flashes the words "driver error" then flashes back to "not connected".

I've tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling it yet it does not fix it. I contacted Asus Support and they told me the way to fix it was to Restart my computer to factory settings. I think that will be too much of a hassle. I also get Blue screen errors of System Exception (BthHfAud.sys)/(ks.sys) and Worker_Invalid. I researched on it and it may be a resitry error How do I fix this?

Thanks,

Hi Mario,

Thank you for letting us know the status of the issue. I appreciate for the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far. I am Glad to know that you are not getting BSOD errors now. As far as the Bluetooth drivers issue is concerned, I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Restart the Bluetooth service and check if it solves the issue.

a.Press Windows + R, type services.msc and press Enter.

b. Double-click Bluetooth Support Services.

c. Set its Startup type to Manual.

d. Click OK.

After trying method 1, check if the issue still persists. If yes, please follow method 2.

Method 2: Change Bluetooth settings from Control Panel.

I suggest you to try the following steps.

a. Press Windows + X key.

b. In the Control Panel search box, type Bluetooth, and then click Change Bluetooth settings.

c. In the Bluetooth Settings dialog box, click the Options tab and do any of the following:

To make your computer discoverable to Bluetooth enabled devices, select the check box for Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer.

To allow you to add Bluetooth enabled devices to your computer, select the check box for Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer.

    Thanks,

but I still have not been able to fix the problem. I checked Device Manager yet there were no "Exclamation Marks" even in viewing hidden devices. I also tried uninstalling my Bluetooth and Wireless Connection drivers and installing it again ,as recommended by Asus yet it still did not work. I checked the Troubleshooting software it found a few errors yet said it fixed it and still my Bluetooth still does not work. I stopped experiencing the blue screen after reinstalling the drivers yet the driver error still appears in the Bluetooth Settings area.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting the query in Microsoft Community Forums.

The error message “Bluetooth not connected” this is usually caused due to the bad drivers or if the latest drivers are not installed on your computer.

First, I would recommend you to open device manager and check if there is any “Exclamation mark” on Bluetooth devices. If yes, then I would suggest you to uninstall the Bluetooth drives and then restart the computer.

This will help us to install the previous drives of Bluetooth even you may try to perform Hardware Troubleshooter as well. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly. If the issue still persists then I would recommend you to update the Chipset drives from the manufacture’s website.

You may refer to the following steps to perform a “Hardware Troubleshooter”:

    1. Press “Windows key + W” to search Settings.
    2. Type “Troubleshoot” without quotes and click on Troubleshooting.
    3. In the new window, click Hardware and Sound and follow the on-screen instructions.

Issue regarding; “Blue Screen” I would like to know, what are the troubleshooting steps that you have performed, for receiving Blue Screen and I need the exact error code that you are receiving?

Blue Screen errors, can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It can also cause by hardware and software issues.

Error message “WORKER_INVALID” This indicates that memory that should not contain an executive worker item does contain such an item, or that a currently active worker item was queued.

For now, you may refer to the steps from the following Microsoft article: Resolving Blue Screen errors in Windows

    Hope it helps.

Do let us know if you need any further help to resolve this issue and we will be more than happy to help you.
