When I try to logon to my computer with my Microsoft password I am told it isn't correct and have to reset it.  This happens every time. How do I get Microsoft to retain my password?

    Hello Helen,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

As per the issue description, you are getting message of "incorrect password" while login.

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

    1. Is your computer connected to internet?
    2. Have you checked logging in to your computer with onscreen keyboard?
    3. Do you have any other user account on the computer?
    4. Are you able to login to your Microsoft account?

Sometimes, the keyboard layout get changed to a different language and that may cause incorrect password issue on the computer.

Let’s check logging in with the on-screen keyboard.

Refer the article below to use On-screen keyboard while login.
