Corrupt Bluetooth Driver - Error Code 10

Hi,

I've been using the Bluetooth settings that came on my computer (Windows 8; Inspirion 15 7000 series - 7537), but recently I haven't been able to connect my computer to my Bluetooth speakers.

"Bluetooth settings" no longer appears under PC and Devices, so I went onto the Device Manager where the Generic Bluetooth Adapter (what I'm assuming came with my computer, as I haven't installed anything myself), shows that there is an error. Under "Device Status" it says:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

A device which does not exist was specified.

According to my expert Google researching skills, Code 10 means that I have a corrupt driver. I've tried uninstalling the device and scanning for hardware changes, but nothing seems to work. Unfortunately this is where my technology expertise expires, and I'm not sure how to proceed.

Do I need to install new software (if so, what would that be)? Or is there something else I can/should do to fix this?

You need to re-install the computer makers bluetooth drivers.  I would go to http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products/?app=drivers input your express service tag and download the BT driver>install it
