Reinstalling software without first determining if the system is still plagued by Malware, would be the wrong thing to do.
Error code HRESULT: 0X80070424
Hi,
I am running windows 7 on a Lenovo PC,
I had a cash virus on it a while ago but it was removed successfully, however now the virus is removed every time I start up my computer it is taking double the time to load everything on the desktop (shortcuts, task bar, etc.).
This is because nothing will work until an error message has appeared and you have closed it (and it can take several tries)
When the error message opens the LVT (Lenovo Vantage Technology) icon. The error message will also load if you open the LVT.
My computer is also unable to install updates and there's 23 to install (so they must have built up, right?)
The error message reads:
the specified service does not exist as an installed service exception from 0x80070424.
Any Ideas????
All help is appreciated,
AJ.

2015-02-11T13:44:56+00:00 some lvt service set its startup type to automatic and not being started because its software might be corrupted, you can browse manufacturer site to download and repair install lvt software, also you can see what services set to start automatically by typing " msconfig " on start and click enter then goto " startup " tab and uncheck unwanted programs / services to run then click ok then restart your system.
Please give feedback.
