Unknown Folder keeps re-appearing

I'm running Win 7 on my computer, and I keep on finding an unknown folder in the C drive when viewing the list of folders in Explorer - called 'GrandeDevice'. If I deleted the folder and it's contents, it is re-inserted within about 20 mins. How do I track which program is creating the folder? I have run numerous anti virus programs, but they have no found any viruses.

Hi Tom,

To know which process is creating that folder, you may use Process Monitor.

Thanks for that info..... I've downloaded and installed the Process Monitor, and it looks like it will be effective. Are you able to give the precise setting in Process Monitor to capture the creation of a folder.....?

    Filter setting:

    "Path" contains "GrandeDevice" "Include"

    dear,

For tracking that you can use event viewer. and do this. Open msconfig and check for unusual startup apps or services, if you do find anything unusual on startup, disable it, restart and then try delete the folder, Maybe it will help for you.

    Good luck.
