Start up issue error unknown error code 0xc0000043

Hello, I have had my laptop for about a year, it has Windows 8.1. About 2 months after I got it, it started having some trouble on start up... at first it was only now and then, but now it is like 8 out of 10 times it does this. It starts up normally, I get to the sign in screen, put my password, and then when it begins loading the desktop, all the icons show very briefly, then disappear. It never completes loading. I can access the start menu, from which I reboot, and most times it reboots just fine and I go on with my work. Occasionally it does it more than once, but most often its works the second time. There is no error message.. it just stops on the desktop screen with all my icons having disappeared. a cuople days ago my Kapersky expired, and today I installed and ran a scan with a free version of Avast, I plan to upgrade, but was scanning in the mean time, The Avast program found a few things that Kapersky seems to have missed, (i.e. Problems with system 32 adware) Also, when completing the system scan it wanted to reboot, but I got an error that said: unknown error code 0xc0000043  is it related to the reboot problem I'm already having? What should I do? Thanks in advance for any help! -LynnAnn

    Hi,

Are you running both Avast and Kaspersky? Running two is an absolute do not do.

Uninstall them and use Windows Defender which in 8/8.1 is a full antivirus.

Here are some troubleshooting steps though the above must be done.

    Windows hangs or freezes

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2681286#method22

    =======================================================

    More troubleshooting if needed :

Check with the System Maker Support (Motherboard Maker for custom systems), their

on-line documentation and drivers, and ask in their forums about any known issues.

Update the BIOS, low level chipset drivers, and the major on-board and separatedevice drivers (all of those can have a definite impact on boot speed and performance).

Note using Win Key + X and Win Key + W (to get to Control Panel, Run, and Settings

as needed). Win Key + D calls the desktop and the using Win Key toggles Desktop and

    Start Screen.

    Check Startup Programs.

Right Click in the lower left hand corner - Task Manager

    Or WinKEY + X - Task Manager

Or Right Click the Taskbar - Task Manager

    Check the StartUp tab.

    Other programs to help :

Autoruns - Free - See what programs are configured to startup automatically

when your system boots and you login. Autoruns also shows you the full list

of Registry and file locations where applications can configure auto-start settings.

Process Explorer - Free - Find out what files, registry keys and other objects

processes have open, which DLLs they have loaded, and more. This uniquely

powerful utility will even show you who owns each process.

Particularly what antivirus/antispyware/security program are you using? Windows 8

comes with Windows Defender which in Windows 8 is a full antivirus based on MSE.

If using a 3rd party program uninstall it and run its maker's removal tool to prevent

remnants. In most cases Windows Defender will automagically reload.

Try these to clear corruption and repair/replace damaged/missing system files.

I refreshed my computer because my defender was off and I didn't know how to turn it in I kept doing what the instructions told me but It didn't help. I decided to refresh my computer and it earned everything. Howver, I knew it would do that but after the refresh my computer is slow when you turn it on and it takes longer when I out my password to use it. Can any one help? And if so is there something wrong with my computer, so I can call support since I do have my year guarantee.  Also my defender is still off and idk why I never touched or moved any of the applications before.
