I got a intel update in my important updates, but I don't have any information about it so is it safe to install?

There have recently been circulating many reports of Intel updates through Windows Update failing to install. Try installing and if it fails hide the update. To hide select Start, Control Panel, Windows Update, Check for updates. Right click on Intel update and select Hide this Update.
