Hello everyone,
I noticed a strange error that is repeated on all windows 2019 servers, if a disk is interested in a folder synchronized with onedrive it is not possible to start the disk deduplication, even excluding the folder itself.

the deduplication ends with the error Dedup job fail with 0x8056530c

if I remove the onedrive synchronization the problem is solved

    Hi,
Is there any error message in the Event Log? Please run chkdsk on drives to check if there is any error.

    chkdsk d: /r
    chkdsk d: /f
Replace D with the drive letter you want to check.
Also the same error occurred before Windows Server2012. It means that hotspot table is too small to hold all hotspots., 0x8056530c, Data deduplication encountered an unexpected error. Check the Data Deduplication Operational event log for more information.
I suggest that you check for update firstly. If you could find security updates, installing them. It will update related .dll files version such as Ddppipeline.dll
    Ddpscan.dll, Ddpstore.dll.
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
    Best Regards,
    Carl
