There is no 'share' tab in settings of bluetooth in windows 8 or 8.1 like it was in window 7. Can it be updated in update of windows?? it was useful for media sharing between devices via bluetooth.

Hello Prince,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the issue so that we could help you better.

  1. What is the make and model of your computer?
  2. Does the Bluetooth device connect to your computer?

I appreciate you for providing details about the issue.

This issue may occur either if Bluetooth driver is not properly installed or Bluetooth service has some issue.

I would suggest you to try following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Please make sure that Bluetooth support service is running and set as automatic. Please follow these steps:

a. Press Windows + R keys, type services.msc in run window and press Enter.

b. Right click Bluetooth support service and click properties.

c. Make sure that the startup type is automatic and service status is running.

d. If not, select startup type as automatic and then click "Start".

e. Click apply and ok.

If it does not help, use method 2.

Method 2:

Please update Bluetooth drivers from the computer manufacturer's website and check.

Refer this article:

Download and install drivers

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/all-drivers

I hope this information helps.

Please do let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you
