I got online eventually, after trying the proverbial 101 ways to get a VM online. I still do not know which way worked, as I am connected to the internet through three ports in the VM, but I think it may have something to do with the fact I diagnosed/auto-fixed the troublesome port in Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center/Ethernet 2/Properties/Diagnose while running from the main system.
WLAN in Hyper-V
I set up Windows 10 Tech Preview in Hyper-V, and I am having a little bit of trouble. First, my first experience with Hyper-V is when I installed the Windows Phone emulators several months ago. I have those working fine, so my computer is set up to handle virtualization. So, I downloaded the latest Windows 10 .iso and set up my VM as described here: https://techingiteasy.wordpress.com/2014/12/26/how-to-setup-a-virtual-machine-using-hyper-v/.
I set it up and got in, only to find that I didn't have internet access. So, I went back to the same article and found a link to this at the bottom: http://blog.credera.com/technology-insights/microsoft-solutions/using-your-windows-8-wireless-connection-inside-hyper-v/.
I followed the steps there almost exactly, and was able to connect to the internet, but it says I have limited access, and when I troubleshoot, it says the IP is not configured correctly. I was unable to follow the steps exactly because in step 7, it says to use the Legacy Network Adapter, but I did not have that option, so I chose the Network Adapter option. The screenshots turned out the same, but this may be the problem. How can I get my Windows 10 working with the internet?

2015-02-11T23:17:46+00:00 I realized the reason I was not able to follow the instructions exactly is because I had set up a Generation 2 Hyper-V machine. I set up a Generation 1 machine, following the instructions exactly, and am still unsuccessful at getting online. I have tried bridging the networks in addition to the other tutorial, but still cannot get online. When I try diagnosing the problem, it tells my that my IP configuration is invalid. If anyone has had this problem before, please help.

2015-02-11T03:27:51+00:00 How can I get my Windows 10 working with the internet?
I have the same task to figure out, except that I was hoping I might do it with Bluetooth. ; )
BTW the procedure that I used to get started was this one.
But it looks like they glossed over the part about getting as virtual switch working (or just assumed that we had already done it).
I have been meaning to check that out. Oops. Mea culpa. That was "Step 2"!
Well, I can see that I could link to Wi-Fi that way but I really would like to know more about Bluetooth so I'm going to keep poking at it.
