.NET framework 2.0 is part of the operating system, so long as you're running Vista or later. A fault in one of its files seems to be causing these errors, so a System File Check should repair it. To do this,

  1. Close down all running programs.
  2. Press Windows key + R, type cmd and press Ctrl-Shift-Enter (all three keys at once) to open an administrator command window. Give UAC permission.
  3. In the command window, type

sfc /scannowand press Enter. Note the space before /

Please tell us what happened.

    Hi Terry,

I understand the frustration when things don't work as expected.

I also thank you for providing the screenshot of the issue in hand.

To remove the possibility that a corrupted program file in Windows Live Mail client is causing the problem, I suggest that you repair your mail client. Refer to the steps below:

    1. Go to Control Panel. ****2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a Program.
    2. LocateWindows Live Essential, then click Uninstall/Change.
    3. When a window appears, select Repair all Windows Live programs.
    4. Restart your computer after the repair.

If you need any further assistance, please post your query on Microsoft Community Forums and we’ll be glad to assist you with it.
