    Hi Myron,

This entry is probably referring to a device that was plugged in to the computer at some point before but not connected to it anymore. Some registry files maybe still left over due to which you are seeing this entry in the optimize window.

I would suggest you to check the following registry locations for ant entries that is the same as the one displayed in the optimize window and delete it. Refer to these steps to open the registry editor and check these keys:

    a)      Press Windows key +R, type “regedit”.

    b)      Click on the registry keys in the left panel and expand it.

    c)       Now check if you find any similar entries in the following registry keys

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices

If you are unable to find any entries in these registry keys, then I would also suggest you to check the following registry keys which are specific for your user account:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\CPC\Volume

    d)      If you find any similar entry, right click and delete it.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, you can refer to the following steps to back the registry files on the computer:

    a)      Press Windows and R key to open the run box.

    b)      Type ‘regedit’ and press Enter from the keyboard.

    c)       Open the file option on the menu bar.

    d)      Click on Export and save the file with a name on the desktop.

If you want to restore the file, you can do so by double clicking the file that you have saved on the desktop.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.
