Windows 7 error-reporting not working

Hello,

on several win7-clients i noticed that the windows error-reporting is not reliable.

The Error Message is "Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service"   "some of the reports could not be uploaded - please try again later"

I have noticed that sometimes i have reports ready for upload if i use the Reliability monitor - they do not appear in the action center.

In the eventlog i only see "information" events of ID 1001 (one is here)

I googled and read threads like this one :

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_7-performance/problem-connecting-to-the-windows-error-reporting/b044d563-111b-4019-9526-171b3d9b736c?page=5

-> Set the service to auto, disabled the windows-firewall and mc afee-firewall.

Some clients can upload the reports, every client can reach external websites so the proxy is out of question.

Do you have any ideas about this ?

Well - if there is an issue that is known and has a fix you will get info. A link to the kb that fixes the issue or the hint that a driver is available. Sometimes i just want to know that the issue is reported - without immediate revenue. But yeah, they should pay me for doing this !

The error reporting service reports errors to some Microsoft server. MS might or might not evaluate the reports but the user never gets anything back. The question then arises why you would want to spend time in fixing this problem. There is no benefit in it for you.
