Hello Thaiseer,
Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.
I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.
- Do you have any security software installed on your computer?
- Did you make any recent changes (Hardware or Software) on your computer?
'Error Code 80244020' errors and other critical malfunctions can arise when the Windows operating system becomes overloaded with invalid system references, as well as corrupted and deleted registry files. These problems commonly occur due to a lack of regular PC maintenance. As a computer operating system gets older, errors and crashes start to become more frequent and problematic.
Try the below mentioned methods and see if it works for you.
Method 1
Try to follow different steps mentioned in the following article.
Troubleshoot problems with installing updates
Method 2
If issue still persists I would suggest you to reset Windows Update components and for that try to run the fixit provided in the following article. If you had already tried the same fixit before I would request you to run the fixit again.

Method 3
If after performing both steps issue persists try to perform clean boot and disable security software temporarily and then check to install updates.
Step 1
Clean Boot
Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

**Note:**Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.
Step 2
Disable anti-virus ****
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Hope this would help. If issue still persists post back with current status of your computer and result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you.
