schedule Windows 7 updates

I want to schedule Windows 7 updates to download and install during the night. I have changed my settings to install updates automatically and set time to everyday at 1am. Obviously I will have to leave my computer switched on but is it OK to have it locked so no one can access it and still have the updates download and install. Thanks

To answer your question, it's absolutely fine to keep your computer locked at the time of scheduled update installation. You need to have your computer switched on but it doesn't require you to be logged on.
