Administrator Logoff

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and had problems with other programs and software not working properly. Decided to go back to Windows 7. When I did that there were a lot of damaged programs, lost programs, just a lot of problems. I don't recommend upgrading to Windows 10 just yet. Seems to be problems in the program from everyone I spoke to. Anyway, I scheduled an call back appt and Microsoft fixed all the problems. Took them about 4 hours. They remote accessed my computer to fix. They never logged off as Administrator and when I go to shut down, get message that someone else is using. Can someone tell me how to log off the Administrator. I use as Standard User. Tried going into Task Manager and nothing works. I am a senior citizen that is somewhat technically challenged. There is probably a short and sweet way to do this but I cannot figure it out. Need to logout Administrator. Anyone help?

This is my first time using this site. I asked for help with a problem and thought I would get a simple answer to resolve my problem that I understand. This is why I do not like social media

This forum is not some social medium. It is a vehicle created by Microsoft where a large number of people post their Windows problems. Many of them are solved by volunteers from the general Windows community. They are not MS employees and they get no compensation for the time they spend in trying to answer questions.

Your post is a little confusing. Intially you asked

Can someone tell me how to log off the Administrator.

    You now ask this:

Is there anyone who could assist me in removing the Administrator icon off the welcome page.

That's two completely different things. Which one is it?

Also: Do you have two fully tested accounts with admin privileges? You must have two, same as you have at least two house keys. Why? Because you would be in diabolical trouble in case your single admin account goes bad for some reason. Happens all the time!

This is my first time using this site. I asked for help with a problem and thought I would get a simple answer to resolve my problem that I understand. This is why I do not like social media or use it. Most of the time things are taken out of context. I have a problem and needed assistance to fix it. I believe your replies did not address my specific problem. Sorry if you felt offended. Is there anyone else who could assist me in removing the Administrator icon off the welcome page. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly how does your answer help me.

Microsoft Win 10 did the damage. They fixed it. Which I am grateful.  You on the other hand did nothing.

Your surly reply does not exactly encourage respondents to spend more of their time in an attempt to help you solve your problem.

Did you have to pay for these 4 hours?

Why don't you just reboot the machine, if necessary by force?
