Hi Linesh,

Thank you for your update on the issue.

What is the exact error message/code that displays when you get the Blue screen?

As per your description, I would suggest you to try booting the computer in safe mode with networking and check if you get the blue screen while accessing the internet and other operations. Refer to the following link:

Start your computer in safe mode

NOTE: Select Safe mode with Networkingin the Advanced startup options.

If you do not get the issue in Safe Mode, I would suggest you to disable the display adapter in safe mode and boot in the normal mode to check with the issue. Refer to the following steps:

a. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

b. In the list of hardware categories, find and expand the Display Adapters, **** right click on the device driver and click Disable.

c. Close the Device Manager window and restart the computer in normal mode.

Check if the issue persists.

Please post back your results for further assistance.

    Hi Linesh,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community forums.

    1. When do you get this error message?
    2. Were you facing any other related issue on your system for which you have posted the logs?

It seems that the download of a Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) update has failed, possibly because of another update that was in process at the same time. So, I would suggest you to try updating Microsoft Security Essentials manually.

How to manually download the latest definition updates for Microsoft Security Essentials

If the issue still exists, then another possibility for this could be the communication between MSE and the Windows firewall. So, I would have you try the following steps and check if the issue persists.

    1. Click Start, open Control Panel.
    2. Go to System and Security > Windows Firewall.
    3. Click on Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall on the navigation pane.
    4. Click on Change settings.
    5. Click on Allow another program...
    6. Click on Microsoft Security Essentials in the list of programs.
    7. Click Add.
    8. Close the windows and check for the issue.

Hope this information is helpful. If the issue still persists, please post back for further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.
