Red Screen upon startup.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop, 5 years old, W 7 S. 1. I did a restore a few weeks ago and now when ever I start the PC it starts with a red screen with black lines. Once it gets to Windows opening screen it is ok and also my main screen. However, if I go online to a news feed (CNN, MSNBC) the photos have the red/black combination in them. Test show the drivers are all up to date. I calibrated the color many times. Any ideas of solving this issue?? Thanks!

    I appreciate the prompt information!

    I started in safe mode and problem still exists. Then performed clean boot and still screen is red with black lines. I removed only essentials for startup but still same problem. Only Microsoft and HP in services tab. Anything else I might try??

    Hi,

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10

    Please start you computer in safe modeand check if the issue persists. You may then start the computer inclean bootand check if any third party application may be causing the issue.

    Do not forget to start the computer in normal mode after you are done troubleshooting.
