Does anyone know if there is a method or way to plot a piecewise function on Mathematics similar to a TI -84s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esGDDikDrsc). Or is it missing that ability? Or do you have to set something in settings a certain way?

Did you actually read my question?

Probably, but the contract "support engineers" here have a habit of providing answers to questions that haven't been asked.   I really know nothing about Microsoft Math and thus can't provide a direct answer, but I think if you do a Google search for "Microsoft Mathmatics stepwise function" (no quotes) you'll see that it apparently can be done, after a fashion, and not very well.   Sorry I couldn't offer more help, but maybe someone else will come along with a more definitive answer.

Thank-you, I can use that for now. Wish there was a way for them to update it to 5.0 or something. Or at-least submit suggestions

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Kindly note that on the Microsoft Mathematics 4.0 download page, Windows 8 is not listed as a supported operating system. However we can still try to install it in compatibility mode.

Install Microsoft Mathematics 4.0 in compatibility mode.

     a) Download the software

     b) Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".

     c) Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode

for” and select Windows 7 operating system from the drop down.

     d) Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

Hope this information is helpful. For any further assistance, feel free to contact us.

    Thank you
