Virtual NICs for VLANs cannot be enabled

Hi All,

I would really appreciate if somebody helps me with this issue :

I am trying to set VLAN tagging using onboard Intel  l218-V Gigabit LAN at ASUS Z97-PRO motherboard using up-to-date Windows 8.1 , downloaded latest drivers from the asus website as well as directly from Intel.

The problem is that when I create VLANs at the master ethernet interface, all the newly generated Virtual Interfaces for individual interfaces are disabled.

When I click to enable the interface, I get the usual little pop-up windows saying "..enabling.." and then "enabled", but the actual interface stays disabled without giving me any sort of error.

I have tried to re-install the drivers but I am still experiencing the same behaviour.

Have you come across this issue ?

Thank you very much for any advice.

Kind regards

Michael
