Disk space allocation -System Restore

I have a 1TB hard drive and the system volume folder takes up 291 G i know you said that it would not be recommended but i really need the space on my pc any way around it?

Select Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection, place the cursor on your C partition (under Protection settings - Available Drives), click the Configure button. Move the slider under Disk Space Usage to the left so that the percentage changes to 2%. Click Apply and OK and restart your computer.
