Aptio Setup Utility Help

Hello!

I've done lots of research but yet to find something to fix my problem.

My ASUS X553M notebook is stuck on the Aptio Setup Utility screen. I've tried saving and exiting but it just comes back to the Aptio Setup Utility screen after going black for a few seconds.

Ive tried turning it off and on again after saving and exiting and still get the screen.

I didn't get an error message beforehand. My notebook was knocked and then ran really slow so I turned it off and on and that's when I got stuck on this Aptio loop. I don't know how to boot it from here. I'm desperate for it to work. I'm currently looking for a job and this is my lifeline to apply for jobs!

My OS selection is Windows 8.x

Any my help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tested your Hard Drive?

Go to your Computer Manufacturer's website > look for your Computer's specifications > find out brand of Hard Drive > go to Hard Drive Manufacturer's website > find and download Hard Drive Diagnostic software and make a Bootable disk from it on the Computer you are using to get here, following their instructions > test your Hard Drive to see if it has failed.

And you can also use this Method to test your Hard Drive:

With Windows 8/8.1 The Product Key on preinstalled Operating Systems (HP, Acer, etc) is embedded in the BIOS in the Motherboard, so that the lost and/or worn C.O.A. Sticker problem is no more.

    Hi,

Read the information in this Thread:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-winapps/computer-stuck-on-aptio-setup-utility-screen/50be23d9-ea0c-4830-83ce-e0beb138fab8

    Cheers.

    Thank you Bill,

I've already read all those posts though and as I'm unable to start a clean reboot from the Aptio Setup Utility screen (at least not that I'm aware of) most of the advice there is not of use.
